Cape Town | Baby Joshua
Newborn portraits – 17 March 2017…
While I was busy editing these photos, I realised I have been with Tony and Kate through so many important events in their lives. I captured their first couple shoot, wedding, first pregnancy, first baby, first family shoot and now their second child, how special is that 🙂 I realised today that this is the main reason why I love my job so much.
I have to laugh whenever I take photos of families because the parents stress so much and worry that there won’t be any photos because their kids weren’t cooperating on the day. To me they are completely normal and just being kids, I mean what kid can sit still for 10 seconds anyway. Looking at any of my family blogs you would probably think that its the perfect family but I think with every shoot there has been bribery, moms rolling their eyes at their kids, dads wanting to just give up and go home and then the parents apologising for their kids non stop. Its all normal parents and my job is to capture all those happy moments in between the chaos.
Going through Tony and Kate’s photos, you would never have known that we bribed Zoë with jelly beans for every 10 shots and then also with balloons. She didn’t even want to talk to me when I first saw her or even come to me. Kate you were so chilled, I still remember Zoë’s newborn shoot and you were quite stressed because it was all knew and all she wanted to do was eat, lol.
Cant wait till Josh is a little bigger and we do another family shoot, hint hint Tony.
